| Cardiovascular disease, Hyperthyroidism, Closed Angle Glaucoma, Other medications. Avoid extravasation, prefer a fine cannula placed well inside a large vein, an upper limb being the best. Correct blood volume depletion before administration of the drug. Obtain base line BP before therapy & repeat every 2 minutes until stabilisation & repeat every 5 minutes during drug administration. Monitor patients Vital Signs, Mental State, Skin Temperature of the extremities & Skin Colour (esp. Ear lobes, Lips & Nail Beds). |
